What time does the bride need to be ready?

2.5 hours before ceremony for the bride and bridal party, and possibly earlier if moving locations from getting ready spot to venue. The bride may need to be finished with hair and makeup even earlier if doing a first look or other photos. Brides, please consult your photographer and planner for the timeline.

Our policy: we do not allow bridal parties to finish any closer than 2 hours before ceremony time.

How long do services take and how many artists are assigned to me?

  • Services run 45 minutes each. Brides services are 1 hour each.

How many artists are provided?
The following breakdown is per category, hair/makeup:

  • 1 makeup artist for 1-8 services

  • 1 hair artist for 1-8 services

  • 2 makeup artists for 9+ services

  • 2 hair artists for 9+ services.

*Clients can add additional artists as needed to shorten the getting ready timeline. Inquire for fees as this is dependent on service count.

What about a later access time or an earlier ceremony? What will the bride do if there are not enough hours between start and finish time?

This is a common occurrence for many brides. Don’t sweat it. Here are some options to consider:

  1. Pay for Extra Time at the Venue: This option allows you to have everyone get ready at the venue by extending the time you have access to it.

  2. Additional Artists: Add artists to shorten the timeline. Inquire and we can email you with how many artists you need for your timeline and how much it will cost for extras.

  3. Get Ready Off-Site: Everyone gets ready off-site at a hotel room and AirBB and then heads to the venue for dressing and photos. For an additional fee, an artist can accompany the bride and party to the venue for touch-ups and photos if desired.

One question we get asked about often is if some of the party can get ready off site while others finish up at the venue. We do not advise a change in “getting ready” location as it involves setting up all the makeup products, hot tools, lights, etc to then pack it up, travel, set it up again, wait for tools to heat up again, etc. This is the least optimal choice. Please note that this will add an hour's time and an additional fee for each artist, plus travel fees for all artists from the additional location.

When is the glam schedule sent out to me?

About 45 days before we wedding we will send out a questionnaire confirming the names of everyone in your party receiving services and solidifying details around the wedding day. We will then create the glam schedule and once final payment is made, we will then send the schedule to the bride and planner if applicable.
