Getting Ready for Your Bridal Preview: A Look at What’s To Come

Planning your wedding or special event is all about the details, and one of the most important is how you’ll look and feel on the big day. Scheduling a preview (what we call the bridal trial) is a session designed to perfect your hair and makeup look before the big event. A beauty preview is your opportunity to work with our expert artists to ensure your vision aligns with your final look. Think of it as a rehearsal for your beauty, where we customize your makeup and hair to match your personal style, beauty vision, and bridal gown.

The Preview is so important. It gives you the peace of mind that everything will go smoothly, allowing you to focus on your special day rather than last-minute changes or stress. You can adjust the style, make choices about your look, and even experiment with new ideas, all in a relaxed environment. By the time your wedding arrives, you’ll feel confident knowing your beauty look is perfectly tailored to you.

So if you’re asking,  “How should I prepare for my Preview?” we got you covered!

To make the most out of your Brite Beauty Preview, preparation is key. Here are some tips to ensure you’re ready to shine;

For Makeup:

  • Come with a fresh face, or the best results, we recommend coming to your makeup trial with a clean face — no moisturizer, no SPF. Our talented artists will prep your skin to make sure your makeup holds throughout the day and night. If you are already wearing makeup, no worries! We will gently cleanse your face and get you ready for your transformation.

For Hair:

  • Arrive with either clean or day-old, dry hair. It’s best if, before blow drying, you add a light styling product like foam or cream to give your hair some hold. We recommend blowing out your hair the day before if you plan to receive a curated style, unless you have curly hair and want to showcase your natural curls.

  • We recommend getting a blowout the day before your preview, as we have found that this timing helps achieve the best results for the curls or updo we will create during your session. Brite Beauty offers blowouts both in our studio and on-location. You can easily schedule one before meeting with your bridal beauty team.

  • If you highlight or color your hair, touch up those roots  before your preview.

  • The use of the clip-in extensions are a great addition for a curated hairstyle, please let us know in advance if you want to add personalized Bellami extensions for your appointment and we will have them ready for you.

For Skin:

  • Consult with an aesthetician to begin your skincare journey early, months before the wedding.Your skin is the canvas for your bridal makeup, so it’s crucial to start a skincare routine in advance. This ensures that your skin is clear, smooth, and glowing by the time your big day arrives

  •  If you elect to use a sunless tanner before the wedding day, we recommend having this done before your preview as well.

  • It is always a good idea to exfoliate your lips especially if you plan on wearing a matte lip.. This helps remove any dry skin and ensures a smooth, flawless lipstick application.

  • Avoid facial waxing within 72 hours before your appointment.

  • Don’t try new skincare treatments the week before your wedding/event to avoid potential reactions.

Extra preparation advice for your Bridal Preview:

  • Bring your inspiration photos

We know you have a vision for your big day, and inspiration photos are an excellent way to communicate that vision. Once you’ve become a Brite Bride, we’ll provide you with a portal where you can upload your inspiration photos and keep them on file for easy access. At your preview, bring those inspo pics ready to show your artist. Be specific about what you love in each image — whether it’s the eye makeup, the glowing skin, or the luxurious hairstyle. Let us know how you want these elements to be represented on you. And don’t forget to show us your dress! The style and silhouette of your gown play an essential role in how we create your cohesive look.

  • Show us photos when you feel your best!

Show a photo of yourself when you felt the most beautiful. These photos help us see what makes you feel like the best version of yourself. We believe that every bride or client should look like the most elevated, confident version of themselves on their big day. This entire process is designed to find out what that looks like for you, and we want to make sure we get it right!

And don’t forget, you’re more than welcome to bring your veil to the preview—it’s a great way for us to see how it complements your hairstyle and helps create your perfect bridal look! Plus, we've got you covered with our touch-up kits to keep you looking flawless on your wedding day!

At Brite Beauty, we know how special and important your big day is, and we’re honored to be part of it. Your beauty preview is a time for you to explore the look you have envisioned, collaborate with our expert artists, and ensure that every detail is perfectly aligned with your dream. Whether you’re booking for a wedding, a birthday, or another special event, we are here to make you look and feel your absolute best. Ready to book your beauty preview?
